Library Assistants (per class)
Time Commitment: Varies               
Hours: Varies                
1-2 parent volunteers needed per classroom
Input donated items into digital database
Maintain collection & circulation databases
Maintain student & staff borrowing database
Organize & shelve books and other library materials utilizing FIC, Non-FIC and Dewey classification
Supervise class visits, read aloud to students, assist students with book selection

Recess Monitor(s)             
Time Commitment: Volunteers can work any number of days per week/month (i.e. all  5 or as few as 1)          
Hours: Varies- See the Sign Up Sheet for a time that works for you
Volunteers can work any number of days per week/month — i.e. all  5 or as few as 1
Drop-In Volunteers are always needed and helpful— parent can drop in any day to help at recess
Assist on-duty teachers in monitoring students
Help to assure safety and well being of all students
Assist children in making good decisions in play and interaction
Report serious injuries or behavior problems to teachers on-duty

Box Top Coordinator

Oversee Box Top Collection Program
Provide and monitor collection container
Mail box tops into program office

Lost and Found Volunteer

Time Commitment: Varies

Collect and organize lost and found items into bins outside lunch/assembly room
Bring unclaimed items to donations location at the end of each trimester
Two weeks prior to end of each trimester, notify parents that all remaining lost and found 
items will be removed and donated

Co-Room Parent(s) (per class)

The room parent plays a vital role in ensuring communication is continuous and smooth with regard to all aspects of the classroom, the Network and school.
Two parents per classroom serve as Co-Room Parents to assist the teacher, work with parents, and serve as liaison between the class and the Network 
Co-Room Parents work together to divide duties according to their personal preferences at start of the school year
Assist teacher with classroom needs (ie. photocopying, assembling, class projects, etc)
Create a class contact list of e-mails for the teacher and parents at the start of the school year and update as needed
Communicate regularly with classroom parents regarding classroom news, volunteer needs, kudos for volunteers, upcoming deadlines, and school events and information
Secure copy of class volunteer sign-up sheet from teacher for reference throughout the year. Contact parents to fill volunteer positions that were not filled originally. Follow up with all parents who have volunteered for jobs on sign-up sheet. Remind parents when their volunteer jobs or committee meetings are to begin and offer assistance where needed
Meet with teacher on a monthly basis to ensure vital communication between teacher, parents, and the Network. Discuss any teacher needs or concerns and determine a way to meet teacher’s needs. Discuss all upcoming class, school, and Network events with teacher
Attend Room Parent meetings organized by the Room Parent Coordinator
One Room Parent per class must attend monthly Network General Meetings in order to keep their classroom parents and teacher informed of school and Network information, deadlines, and events. 
Inform parents of volunteer needs within the classroom, school, or Network and work to help find parents to fill those needs

Family Social Coordinator (per class)

Time Commitment: Varies               
Hours: Varies               
Plan, organize, and oversee 3 family socials—one per trimester—to be held at off-campus or on-campus location during non-school hours
Work in conjunction with room parents, teacher, and Social Chair
Select tentative dates and post to classroom calendar

Field Trip Coordinator/Treasurer (per class)

Time Commitment: Varies                           
Hours: Varies                            
Set up bank account and account for field trip money
Help the teacher set up field trips 
Help teacher determine the number of chaperones needed 
Help with any other field trip details
Manage class bank account and allocate funds as needed

Fall Festival Volunteers (per class)
Time Commitment:  Varies              
Hours: Varies   
4 parent volunteers needed per classroom
Work together with teacher and room parents to plan and create a game or booth for the Fall 
Festival Carnival
Serve on committee to plan, organize, and facilitate Fall Festival activities and events under 
the direction of the Fall Festival Coordinator
Attend planning committee meetings
Provide information to room parents and teacher for dissemination to class parents
Help to recruit additional classroom parents to help set-up, clean-up, run booths, and work on additional needs for Fall Festival
Event is held in October from approx. 5pm-8pm

Jog-A-Thon Volunteers (per class)

Time Commitment: help during entire event or a portion thereof        
Hours: varies
4 parent volunteers needed per classroom
work under direction of P.E. instructors
attend planning committee meetings
provide information to room parents and teacher for dissemination to class parents 
Event is held in November from 8a.m – noon (approx)

Art Night Volunteers (per class)

Time Commitment: Varies   
Hours: Varies                
4 parent volunteers needed per classroom
Serve on committee to plan, organize, and facilitate Art Night activities and events under the 
direction of the Art Teacher
Attend all committee meetings
Provide information to room parents and teacher for dissemination to class parents
Help to recruit additional classroom parents to help set-up, clean-up, run booths, and work on additional needs for Art Night 
Event held in mid-February from 5pm-8pm

Field Day Volunteers (per class)

Time Commitment: Varies               
Hours: Varies     
4 parent volunteers needed per classroom
Work under direction of P.E. instructors
Attend planning committee meetings
Provide information to room parents and teacher for dissemination to class parents
Event is held in June from approx. 8a.m – 2p.m

Nominating Committee for the Network Executive Board

Time Commitment: Varies               
2 to 5 Parent Volunteers who are not running for the Network Executive Office will assist 1 Executive 
Committee Member and Principal in overseeing the Network General Elections for upcoming school year
Post school last 2 weeks of March to solicit nominations for the Executive Officer positions 
Provide nomination information to School Administration Officer to compile the submitted nominations and return all information to the Nominations Committee at the end of the solicitation period
Compile a list of nominations for each office
In the event of no nominations for any particular office, Nomination Committee is responsible to recruit a minimum of 1 person for each office
Interview nominees to confirm willingness and ability to serve 
Post nominees for each position in April prior to elections
Inform parents that voting is restricted to 1 vote per family

Spring Gala Liaison (per class)

Time Commitment: Varies   
Hours: Varies               
Attend all Spring Gala committee meetings
Participate as a committee member
Communicate all Spring Gala information to room parent for dissemination to all parents
Coordinate the classroom contributions for the Spring Gala Baskets
